Scarborough borough's rate of infection rises with new cases, but is still the lowest in North Yorkshire

It brings the borough’s total since the start of the pandemic to 938.
The borough’s seven-day rolling rate of infection has jumped as a result from 69 to 80 per 100,000 people but remains the lowest in North Yorkshire.

Hide AdTomorrow, a mobile testing facility will be in Scarborough at the Seamer Road park and ride site before arriving in Whitby at the Guisborough Road park and ride site the following day.
The testing has been organised by the Department of Health and Social Care which has warned people to not just turn up but make an appointment first.
There are two ways to do this depending on which testing group you are part of.

Yesterday's announcement by Prime Minister Boris Johnson about the three-tier system keeps Scarborough, and the rest of North Yorkshire, at the same restrictions it previously had, including the 'rule of six' and 10pm curfew for pubs and restaurants.
