Frankland plea

I'm writing in the hope some of your readers may be able to help in my research into my Frankland family which originated in Whitby.
Presently I am back as far as Richard Frankland (1793-1857), a whitesmith of 134, Church Street, Whitby.
Apparently his father was Isaac Frankland, married to Elizabeth Chambers, and Isaac’s father was a William Frankland (1737-1805), who married a Jane Burton in December, 1759.
There is mystery and controversy as to William’s parentage and his connection – if any – to Thirkleby Hall.
Does anyone have any information which may help to clarify this?
I am also interested to learn more about a Mrs Frankland who is shown as being licensee of the Black Horse, Church Street, in 1840.
I would be very grateful for any assistance from your readers.
June Frankland, 93 Keith Lucas Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 0DJ
