On Saturday 13 September a coach party of 45 people from churches in Riddings and Ironville in Derbyshire enjoyed a glorious sunny day in Whitby.
We were on the outskirts of Whitby – Mayfield Road – when the powered steering ceased up on our coach.
This was a stressful time.
We had to wait four long hours for a replacement coach.
On behalf of our party I would like to thank the kind people in Mayfield Road who offered the use of their toilet – we were parked outside their house.
From further down the road a family came and offered drinks of tea.
They came as a family with trays of tea and biscuits.
Our party were overwhelmed by such kindness and wish to thank these thoughtful people who came to our aid in such stressful circumstances.
