As we approach another season can I ask the people of Whitby and the surrounding area to get behind your local team and get down to the Turnbull Ground on a Saturday afternoon.
Instead of watching Man Utd or Chelsea in your local why not go down and cheer your local team on at the cost of only 2½ pints and get an enjoyable afternoon in the process as well as helping the finances.
From what I have seen in pre-season the squad has got potential to challenge for promotion and with extra support it could make the difference.
Support for your local team is more valued than supporting the slaves of the Premier League in your local pub.
