I wish to draw your attention to inaccuracies contained within your report on page five of the Tuesday 16 September edition of the Whitby Gazette regarding Endeavour Wharf.
The opening paragraph indicates the council might agree to put the whole land area of the wharf out to tender whereas the issue, as outlined in the rest of the article, refers only to the transit shed and weighbridge.

The future usage of the wharf is yet to be determined and this will be subject to full consultation with all the interested parties, not least the populace of Whitby.

Before the wharf can be removed from its present designation as a cargo handling facility, a Harbour Revision Order will need to be obtained from the Department of Transport.

You have referred to a Harbour Submission Order which is incorrect.

I trust that you will correct these anomalies.

Coun WH Tindall, portfolio holder for harbours, Scarborough Borough Council
