A SEVENTEENTH century Elizabethan Manor House in Fylingthorpe has gone up for sale at the princely sum of £1.25m.

And this Sunday interested parties will get the chance to see Thorpe Hall, an eight bedroom Grade II Listed building, for themselves from noon to 1pm when an open viewing is being held.

The property which was rebuilt in 1680 by the Farsyde family comes with a separate coach house and five acres of land.

It is being marketed by Whitby estate agents Astin's along with national agents Savills.

The gardens have been restored by the present owners and are set over several levels, with stone features blending into the surrounding woodland.

For more information about property call Astins on (01947) 821122.
