Man smashes taxi light

A MAN was arrested by police after he smashed the rear light of a taxi which had given him a ride to John Street in Whitby.
The man is also alleged to have got out of the taxi without paying.

He was taken by police to the cells at Scarborough Police Station where he caused criminal damage.

The incident in John Street happened on 16 August at around 3.20am.
