A motorist who died in an accident near Goathland has been named as Thomas Lloyd Warrington (18) of Malton.
A 17-year-old youth who was a passenger is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being airlifted from the scene. The passenger, from Yedingham near Malton, was taken to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.

The crash happened at Thomasson Foss on the road between Goathland and Beck Hole, when the red Renault Clio struck a tree at around 7.40am on Sunday morning.

Floral tributes have been left at the scene of the crash at the popular beauty spot.

Police have confirmed that a man who died the same day near Sleights died of natural causes.

The 78-year-old was driving a trike as part of a group when his vehicle left the road.

Emergency services were called to the scene near The Carrs just before 3pm on Sunday but the man was later pronounced dead at Scarborough hospital.

His identity has not been released.
