Trio arrested after assault

THREE people in their fifties have been arrested after a man was assaulted in Whitby's Windsor Terrace.
The two women and a man from West Yorkshire were arrested by police last Monday.

Sergeant Darrin Knight of Whitby police said the woman was charged with common assault after she allegedly punched a man, in his 20s, in the face.

The assault happened just before 1am.

The victim suffered visible swelling and bruising to the side of his face.
