EIGHT members of the Whitby Premier Invitation Club sent 60 birds to race from Clermont, France, a distance of 375 miles.
The winning pigeon took 9 hours 26 minutes.
Result: Storr bros and son 1-6-8 (1172.669, 1082.432, 992.391); A Richardson 2-7 (1170.503, 1079.682); S Mallinson and son 3-4 (1136.378, 1094.194); RW Winspear, 5 (1085.260).
* TEN members of Whitby and District North Road Homing Society sent 113 pigeons to race from Thurso.
