TWELVE members of the Whitby Premier Invitation Club sent 240 birds to race from Reed, a distance of 172 miles.
Winners J Storr and son took 3 hrs 25 minutes.
Results: J Storr and son 1 (1466.745); A Richardson 2-4-5-11 (1459.150, 1455.637, 1452.838, 1437.067); Mr and Mrs Lightfoot and sons 3-8-12 (1457.295, 1439.510, 1434.848); RW Winspear 6 (1446.506); Storr bros and son 7-9 (1444.253, 1438.885); S Mallinson and son 10 (1437.185).
Mr & Mrs Lightfoot & Sons, win the first nom, A Richardson wins 2nd & 3rd nom.
* SEVEN members of Whitby and District North Road Homing Society sent 123 pigeons to race from Berwick.
