Straw Cup for Airy Hill

AIRY Hill School footballers came out on top in the annual Straw Cup competition for the Whitby and Esk Valley area primary schools.
The school reached the final after seeing off Seton School of Staithes 4-1 in the semi-finals and then claimed the cup with a 2-0 defeat of East Whitby in a match played at the Turnbull.
Airy Hill headteacher Jim Lidgley said: "It was a terrific game enjoyed by all with fantastic support from parents of both teams."
