Bridlington Golf Festival delayed to allow more golfers to flock to town
However with the dates set for this year’s event on May 3-8 and with the recent news from the Government that hotels and bed and breakfasts could not open until May 17, this posed a huge dilemma to the Golf Festival Committee.
Do they cancel the event for a second year or do they take the decision to move the event to a later date to accommodate the thousands of golfers who visit the town each year?

“However we’re delighted to announce that the golf clubs were able to come up with a compromise and we’re pleased to announce the festival will go ahead from Monday May 24 to Saturday May 29.
“The event brings thousands of golfers to the town and to lose the event would be disastrous to the town, so hopefully everything will now go ahead as planned.”
