A TINY Whitby business tycoon could soon be giving Sir Alan Sugar's apprentices a run for their money.
Daisy Wynn is just two years old and already has a chain of businesses in the town's Shambles Market named after her.

Her parents Val Lawson (39) and partner Brian Wynn (54) think she could be the youngest craft business owner in England and she is already showing everyone who's boss.

Val opened craft shop Daisy Crafts a month after Daisy was born and from the start she was soon introduced to the nine to five routine.

The youngster's business empire soon swelled when in the past year they opened two more shops selling rubber stamps, items for scrap books, embroidery and tapestry.

Daisy could soon be a company director if it's possible when the couple make Daisy Crafts a limited company in July.

She said: "We call the businesses Daisy's uni fund. Daisy is not able to have a business by law but it's still hers.

"The shops have got her name on and she can have it in her name when she's 10.

"She is very bright. All the regulars know her and she helps serve and get things for the customers. I want her to follow in our footsteps.

"She would run it now if she had the chance but she would give everything away."

The youngster is already following in her mum's creative footsteps and has become something of a mini celebrity in the Shambles Market where she knows all the business owners and likes lending a hand.

"Daisy does craft demonstrations and people turn up to see if she is here.

"She does oil paintings on canvas and I keep threatening to put them in an art gallery," added Val.

"We're trying to teach her money at the moment.

"She has a chair behind the till and knows how to open it.

"She is a dab hand at taking £20 out of the till and handing it to the customers.

"She helps me write newsletters four times a year to all our customers and she's really outgoing.

"I'm sure it's a result of her meeting people.

"She can't wait to come to work. She does her rounds.

"She goes to every shop to say good morning to everybody before she will let me open the shop."
