WHITBY Gazette readers are being asked if they can give loving homes to seven gorgeous collie pups and their mum.
Whitby Dog Rescue is looking to rehome the pups after they were taken in by the charity with their mum, Guiney, a petite border collie, at the beginning of March.

Their owner had been having financial problems and was unable to look after them anymore.

They are living at Animal Crackers in Littlebeck with Bob Page and his wife Christine at their farm where they also keep monkeys, donkeys and pigs, their own cats and dogs, as well as the other rescue dogs which are looking for good homes too.

The pups – five dogs and two bitches – are six weeks old. She said: "The pups will make great family pets and we will be looking for people who will have lots of time and energy to spend with them."

Once you have chosen your pet, Whitby Dog Rescue will undertake a home visit before the dog can be taken home.

Adopting a dog costs £100 and they are all fully vaccinated, microchipped, bathed and groomed by Christine and Bob free of charge when they are first adopted.

Whitby Dog Rescue is also in need of dog blankets, toys and financial help to pay for veterinary bills and the animals' care.

Anyone who would like to adopt one of the puppies, Guiney or one of the other rescue dogs should call Christine on (01947) 810787.
